Harvest on the Harbor Schedule – 2016

October 14, 2016 by Christina Lemieux Leave a Comment

Harvest on the Harbor, which takes place on the Portland waterfront,  is one of Maine’s most popular and premium Food and Wine Festivals. The marquee event of the festival is a lobster cooking demonstration and sampling, prepared by top Maine chefs.  This year’s Harvest on the Harbor kicks off on October 20th and the schedule is below.

October 20 – 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm: Sustainable Seafood Soiree. This sit-down, multi-course dining experience shines a light on some of Maine’s most under-loved, under used fish. The cooking is done by a collaboration of chefs, including Steve Corry & Kyle Robinson of Five Fifty-Five along with Andrew Chadwick of Sea Glass Restaurant at Inn by the Sea, Melissa Bouchard of DiMillo’s and Avery Richter of The Black Tie Co. With a chef lineup like that, I’m sure it will be fabulous. Venue: O’Maine Studios  Address: 54 Danforth Street  Tickets: $150

October 20 – 7:30 pm – 9:00 pm: Harvest Hop. This interactive tasting tour enables you to experience two of Portland’s coolest local craft brewers and distillers – Rising Tide Brewery and Maine Craft Distillery.  Tickets: $45

October 21 – 3:00 pm – 5:00 pm: Maine Lobster Chef Celebration. This event sees some of Maine’s top chefs prepare unique and varied lobster dishes which attendees can sample, along with thoughtful drink pairings.  Chefs preparing the lobster dishes include Matt Ginn of Evo, Nicholas Krunkkala of Liquid Riot and Stephen Richards of Boothbay Harbor Inn (all former Maine Lobster Chef of the Year contestants). Venue: The Portland Company   Address: 58 Fore Street    Tickets: $100

October 21 – 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm: Harvest Hop II. This event is a repeat of  Thursday night’s local craft brewery tasting at Rising Tide Brewery and Maine Craft Distillery. Venue: The Portland Company Address: 58 Fore Street Tickets: $45
