Harvest on the Harbor is a fantastic seafood and wine festival which takes place on the Portland Maine waterfront each fall. The festival is packed with opportunities to sample Maine microbrews, wines and delicious food, including the fruits of the Gulf of Maine. The marquee event of the festival is a lobster cooking demonstration and sampling, prepared by top Maine chefs which culminates with the crowning of a ‘Maine Lobster Chef of the Year.’ The 2018 Harvest on the Harbor schedule is kicks off on Thursday October 18th and runs through Sunday, the 21st. While the schedule has yet to be finalised the Maine Lobster Chef of the Year cooking demonstration/competition will most likely take place on Friday, October 19th (given the event has taken place on a Friday the last three years).
