Frenchboro’s annual lobster dinner is always scheduled for the second Saturday in August. The 2018 Frenchboro Lobster Dinner will take place on August 11th and will be the 57th year Frenchboro have hosted this local lobster festival. On this day, hundreds of visitors will be ferried to the beautiful island of Frenchboro via a boat from Bass Harbor. Once on the island, they will all be able to enjoy a delicious lobster dinner, which comes with a freshly steamed Maine lobster, coleslaw, a homemade dinner roll, a slice of homemade pie and a beverage. The lobster dinner is hosted outside, under a marquee in case of inclement weather, with live music and coastal views in the background. The Frenchboro Lobster Dinner also usually includes an “All The Road We Got Race,” children games and a silent auction. The detailed schedule for the 2018 Frenchboro Lobster Dinner is not yet finalised but I will publish it as soon as it’s available.
