Friendship, Maine’s Annual Friendship Day is a wonderful, small town celebration in an authentic lobster fishing village. As with many summertime festivals along the coast of Maine, it features a pancake breakfast, parade, fireworks over the harbor and a chance to enjoy the fruits of the Maine lobster season – locally caught, new shell lobster. While a lobster bake is not a central part of Friendship Day, lobster rolls and cooked lobster are sold at various venues as part of the celebrations. This year’s festivities happen on July 29th, the week after the lobster boat races. Below is the Annual Friendship Day Schedule for 2017.
