Gwyneth Paltrow’s Lobster Roll Recipe

As mentioned in a previous post, there has been a meteoric rise in the popularity of the humble Maine lobster roll in the last several years. Now even Gwyneth Paltrow is blogging about lobster rolls. 

In the post on GOOP, Gwyneth shares her friend, Patrick Keane’s lobster roll recipe which looks really good.  I was interested to read that Patrick adds bay leaves and black peppercorns to the water he uses to boil the lobster. Once boiled, and picked, the lobster is tossed with melted butter, thinly sliced celery, mayo (Patrick uses Hellman’s only!), lemon zest, lemon juice, salt and pepper to taste. Yum.

At the end of the post, Gwyneth also shares a list of the best places to get a lobster roll in Maine, Boston,  New York and LA.  The three Maine lobster roll eateries Gweneth Paltrow has on her list are also included in my list of the five best places to get a lobster roll in Maine.
